coming down the world turned over

last weekend, a bunch of us celebrated all the may/june birthdays by going out for some amazing japanese bbq. it was so, sooooooo good. we ordered a seven(ish)-course combination deal for the 8 of had these vegetables:

plus some delicious sesame noodles, some sukiyaki-style bibim-bab (korean rice thing...i'm not exactly how to spell it though), lots and lots of meat (including some amazing kobe beef), and seafood (salmon and shrimp). i ate waaaaaay too much. but everything was awesome. i also ordered a delicious white peach saketini, which was yummy.

the night ended with this:

i'd say it was a pretty good night, wouldn't you?

i also finally finished atonement, which i started reading back around christmas. yep, it *only* took me 6 months. geez. it was a bit slow in the beginning, but really picked up in the last 100 pages or so. it was beautifully written, but definitely dense. linda also finished recently, so we're planning on watching the movie soon. i think i definitely need to read a lighter, somewhat fluffy book next. any suggestions?

looking forward to all the fourth of july festivities this weekend...including a trip to the beach! i'm also hoping my camera will get a workout this weekend, since it's barely been used in the last month!

i am also looking forward to being back up north in just about 3 weeks. so. can't. wait.

have a good one :)

I saw the movie "Atonement" and now I can't remember what I thought of it, lol! Typical for moi. I'm guessing it was good cuz I actually remember seeing the darn thing, lol!
