if you've got an impulse let it out

first...a couple more studio calico peeks:

a couple things making me happy in my world:
* portos (yummmm)

* freshly painted toes

*pretty flowers

* the fact that i'll be up north in a few days. so, so, sooooo can't wait. i think to say that excited is quite the understatement, ha.

have a good one :)

don't i hold you like you want to be held

hello...i've been a stranger.

my laptop has completely stopped charging thanks to a broken DC jack. so i've been laptop-less for about 10 days. hopefully, i'll be back up and running soon. my desktop has been driving me crazy because the color seems to be off and i can't do much photo editing (not that i've been shooting much anyway) or digi scrapping on here. plus, it's slower than i remembered.

here's a sneak peek of the august studio calico kit:

it's been somewhat uneventful around here...and someone needs to force me to use my camera. i re-watched elizabethtown and realized that i really love the soundtrack. the baseball all-star game last night was insane. in 10 days, i'll be back up in norcal and see the boy again. can't wait...i am so starting to count down :) hopefully, the weather will be good to me! unfortunately, i opted to not go to CHA summer this year, but i can't wait to see all the new releases that'll pop up!

have a good one :)

i sighed a song that silence brings

i hope everyone had a fabulous fourth of july weekend! mine was fun :)

a couple of us attended a bbq at amy's friday night...had some delicious korean bbq ribs and set off some fireworks.

i wanted to experiment with cool sparkler pictures, but our pack of fireworks didn't come with any...oh well.

on saturday, we headed over to the beach for a big outing/reunion. got to hang out with a couple of people i hadn't seen in quite a while. always good to catch up and to see everyone doing well. waded in the (dirty) water for a little bit, sunbathed, hung out, ate....good times.

just the girls:

i wish i took more photos, but we left before the great lighting started...and i was lazy. :X i'm sure linda will post a bunch of pics on her blog, since she took waaaay more than me!

afterwards, we ate dinner at the macaroni grill (so good), checked out a new fro-yo place, and played some rockband. i totally rocked at singing wonderwall and maps (i was "flawless," apparently) good times :)

have a good one :)
afterwards we went for some dinner,

coming down the world turned over

last weekend, a bunch of us celebrated all the may/june birthdays by going out for some amazing japanese bbq. it was so, sooooooo good. we ordered a seven(ish)-course combination deal for the 8 of had these vegetables:

plus some delicious sesame noodles, some sukiyaki-style bibim-bab (korean rice thing...i'm not exactly how to spell it though), lots and lots of meat (including some amazing kobe beef), and seafood (salmon and shrimp). i ate waaaaaay too much. but everything was awesome. i also ordered a delicious white peach saketini, which was yummy.

the night ended with this:

i'd say it was a pretty good night, wouldn't you?

i also finally finished atonement, which i started reading back around christmas. yep, it *only* took me 6 months. geez. it was a bit slow in the beginning, but really picked up in the last 100 pages or so. it was beautifully written, but definitely dense. linda also finished recently, so we're planning on watching the movie soon. i think i definitely need to read a lighter, somewhat fluffy book next. any suggestions?

looking forward to all the fourth of july festivities this weekend...including a trip to the beach! i'm also hoping my camera will get a workout this weekend, since it's barely been used in the last month!

i am also looking forward to being back up north in just about 3 weeks. so. can't. wait.

have a good one :)
